Summary: Where is your love of adventure?

“Are you sure it’s safe?” Skye asks skeptically. She’s in a transparent chamber, wearing a flight suit and goggles.
“Absolutely,” Jemma confirms from the other side of the glass, giving Skye a thumbs-up. “Where is your love of adventure?”
Skye glares at Jemma and sticks out her tongue, even if it’s a bit immature for an agent. “Easy for you to say.”
With a smile and a shrug Jemma turns toward the control panel. “Countdown is on. Brace yourself.”
Skye spreads her arms and takes a wide stance. The countdown reaches zero. She involuntarily holds her breath and squeezes her eyes shut.
Nothing happens.
“What’s wrong?” Skye wants to know. She goes to where a giant ventilator thing comes through the wall and gives it a hearty pat. With a roaring sound it comes alive. “Ha!” Skye triumphs.
A second later the ventilator goes up to what feels like hurricane force. Before Skye knows what’s happening the suit is ripped from her body. She’s naked except for the stupid flight goggles. Skye just gapes.
Jemma also stares, then snaps out of it and switches the ventilator off.
“What the hell?!” Skye swears, trying to cover her naughty bits, feeling like an idiot.
“Huh…” Jemma - still spaced out - gawks openly at Skye.
“Huh!? That’s all you’ve to say?” Skye’s angry, but at the same time she’s close to a laughing fit and Jemma has already started to giggle. “It’s not funny.”
They both burst out laughing.

When Regina entered the library, Belle stood on tiptoes on the top rung of a ladder, stretching to put a book away. “I’ll be down in a sec.”
Not one to pass up a chance, Regina walked over and let her eyes roam over Belle’s body. It was a nice view. Belle was wearing a short blue dress with white polka dots. Regina took a moment to appreciate Belle’s legs, and maybe she even tried to get a peek at Belle’s underwear. Another small step and she leaned a little bit more forward…
… Regina bumped into the ladder.
“Aaahh!” Belle shrieked when she lost her footing and fell.
With some magical aid, Regina caught Belle in her arms effortlessly.
“Hello, Belle,” Regina greeted awkwardly. Belle smiled at her so sweetly and shyly, Regina’s stomach tingled.
“Thank you. You can let me down now,” Belle said, and when her feet touched the ground she added, “What can I do for you?”
Regina felt something spark between them; this could be their special moment.
Then the doors to the library flew open and Ruby came rushing in, huge grin on her face and a basket dangling from her arm. “Hey, Beautiful, ready for our lunch break?” she asked, looping one arm around Belle’s waist and drawing her in close for a kiss.
“Never mind,” Regina said, stalking out, and leaving the two lovebirds alone. She discarded for good the perception of ever having a chance with Belle.

Date: 2015-10-20 08:45 am (UTC)MI: thank you so much! I wasn't so sure about this one, but I liked the idea of Regina being secretly in love with Belle and that it turns her into a cute klutz. We all know what love can do with us *g* In my head Regina finds a reason to go to the library on a daily basis, trying to ask Belle out, but always chickens out until she thinks they have this special moment only to get interrupted by Ruby... sometimes love does suck like this.There's always way too much to tell within so few words.
