Summer TV

The television season has ended. Yes, there're a couple of episodes left of some shows and summer will bring great shows as well, but as every year I'll use the chance to catch up on some shows I missed the first time around.



Bates Motel
Already 4 season have aired, that's a lot to catch up with, but I'm excited about it. I like horror, thriller and of course the movie the show is based on.


Dark Matter
I just need syfy-shows in my life, they've always been a part of me. So when I saw that this show will return for a 2nd season I thought it must be good enough to give it a try.


Fuller House
Usually I'm not one for comedy shows, but I loved "Full House" back in the days and a little nostalgia never hurts.


Lucifer
It was a decision between "Damien" and this one. As "Damien" got cancelled after its first season and Lucifer got renewed the decision had been made.


The Magicians"
I read the book 8 years ago and loved it, so I'm curious how they turned it into a tv show.


Mr. Robot
Not sure if it's my kind of show, but it's praised a lot and I could at least give it a try.


What can I say? I loved the movies - at least the first 2 maybe 3 ones. I also have a soft spot for shows like that.

Any shows you're planning on catching up to? Or any shows you can recommend to me?

Helle old friend!*hugs* Nice to read. How did you like the watched ones? Which one was your favorite?
I started to watch the first episode of The Man in the High Castle... got bored and turned it off, don't know why but it didn't catch my interest.

Well, I definitely can recommend Lucifer, that show was fun and Tom Ellis is a delight as Lucifer and makes up for it, when the story is a bit flat. :) I also really enjoy Limitless, unfortunately there will be only one season. :(

I like The Man in the High Castle so far, but I'm not excited to keep binge-watching, maybe that's going to change.

Okay, then I'll start with Lucifer :) some actors definitely have the gift to save a lame plot.
Let me know if it gets so interesting that you wanna binge-watch it. Maybe then I'll give it a second chance.

Oh Dark Matter will return... cool... The first season was ok... not the best I've watched but it's sci-fi :-D *LOL*

Yes, the first episode of the 2nd season will air on July 1st :)

Have you seen Killjoys? I don't know if it's renewed for a second season though.
I don't think I'm watching any current sci-fi shows at the moment which SUCKS! There was the 10th season of The X-files...
Right now my brain is not working at the moment... I'll get back to you if I can think of some current ones. Please let me know if you find some as well!

I've seen the 10th X-Files season, it was such a nice feeling to see it back on the screen. I loved that show so much back then.
Well, I can recommend you The Expanse, Orphan Black and 12 Monkeys. But only the first one is a space syfy show.

I've heard about Orphan Black and 12 monkeys and been curious but haven't checked them out yet... but I hadn't heard about The Expanse so I'll check it out :-D.
